How Does a Diesel Generator Work?

A diesel generator works by burning diesel to turn the crankshaft, spinning the alternator to convert mechanical energy into electricity with stable voltage.

A diesel generator converts diesel fuel into electricity in 3 simple steps.

1. Combustion: Diesel burns inside the engine, creating high pressure that turns the crankshaft and produces mechanical energy.

2. Power Generation: The crankshaft is directly connected to the alternator. When the crankshaft spins the alternator, it converts that mechanical energy into electrical energy.

3. Regulation: A smart controller and Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) constantly monitor and keep the voltage and frequency stable, so your connected appliances get clean and safe power.

In short: Diesel Fuel > Mechanical Energy > Electrical Energy.

At PowerZone, we provide high-quality, fuel-efficient diesel generators for businesses and industrial use across Pakistan.
